Hi. My name is Kyle Monroe. Originally from northern CA (think redwoods not hollywood), I moved to Nashville in 2013 with a band and began the Tiny Tape Room. I started TTR with a 2 channel interface in my bedroom, and with the help of many, many, many, others… TTR is now a 3 studio commercial space in midtown, and a mastering suite in East Nashville.

I recorded my first client when i was 14 years old on a Sony 8 track cassette console. We slowly bounced each performance layer down to 2 tracks until the stereo file had so much hiss it was almost unlistenable. But because of the joy and excitement in each take… it is still one of my favorite recordings to date. My goal is to highlight that joy a creativity in each project i am a part of.

I am very passionate about music and the people that work hard to make it. I have played in bands, been a solo artist, toured, engineered, produced, mastered, managed, succeeded, struggled… and in every instance I have had a blast contributing to the art, artists, and the final product.
